Facility Technician II - Plumber (WRMC)

Job Summary

Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment throughout the Will Rogers Memorial Center facility. Diagnose plumbing problems, develop work plans, and perform preventative maintenance on domestic water, sanitary sewer, and storm drainage systems. Respond to emergency repairs for water leaks, clogged drains, and sewer backups while ensuring compliance with all plumbing codes and safety regulations. Maintain tools and equipment, complete work orders, and provide customer service to internal departments, event staff, and guests. This full-time on-site role supports venue operations for Trail Drive Management Corp in Fort Worth, Texas.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of three (3) years of verifiable commercial plumbing experience
  • Current Texas Journeyman Plumber License
  • Valid Texas driver's license
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to lift or move items weighing 100 pounds or more
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and respond to emergency call-outs
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions and fluctuating temperatures
  • Ability to read blueprints, plumbing schematics, technical manuals, and specifications
  • Working knowledge of applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, ordinances, and emergency procedures
  • Knowledge of commercial plumbing systems, domestic water distribution, sanitary sewer systems, storm drainage systems, backflow prevention devices, pumps, valves, and plumbing fixtures
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment
  • Self-motivated with a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience maintaining plumbing systems in commercial, institutional, public assembly, or large multi-building facilities
  • Completion of a plumbing apprenticeship, trade school, or equivalent vocational training
  • Tradesman or Apprentice License
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS)
  • Keyboarding skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
