Job Summary
Maintain safe, efficient operations of distribution center equipment and systems, including conveyor systems, MHE, HVAC, air compressors, dock equipment, and plumbing fixtures. Troubleshoot and repair all related equipment, construct installations, and perform light fabrication as needed. Independently complete tests, inspections, and repairs while reading blueprints and maintaining maintenance logs. Requires three years of maintenance experience, proficiency in electrical, mechanical, and HVAC systems, and ability to lift up to 75 lbs. Schedule Monday-Thursday, 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of three years' experience in a maintenance environment
- Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC, plumbing and welding
- Effective and clear verbal and written communication skills
- Familiar with OSHA / NFPA standards
- Must be able to operate all shop equipment and hand tools
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. constantly and up to 75 lbs. as needed
- Must be comfortable working heights as needed
- Ability to stand the duration of shift and work in outside climates
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Initiative to take on tasks above and beyond their role
- Familiar with the operation of computers and tablets
- Must be able to read and understand basic blueprints
- Basic understanding of carpentry and mechanics (including hydraulics and pneumatics)
- Must be able to maintain safe work practices including wearing PPE, using LOTO and following ARC Flash requirements
