Job Summary
Facility Support Worker responsible for custodial, grounds maintenance, and safety-related tasks within Brightline facilities. Essential duties include cleaning and sanitizing restrooms and common areas, floor care, litter and waste management, window and surface cleaning, replenishing supplies, basic maintenance (changing bulbs, unclogging drains), and groundskeeping (mowing, trimming, weed control, irrigation, seasonal snow/ice removal). The role emphasizes proactive inspections, safe operation of cleaning and maintenance equipment, timely communication, professional appearance, and participation in development opportunities to support the engineering/maintenance team. Requires ability to work various shifts, weekends, and holidays; physically active with capacity to lift up to 50 pounds; prior custodial/grounds experience preferred. Pay rate is $20.00 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 1+ years experience in custodial or grounds maintenance or similar maintenance operations
- Ability to operate motorized equipment such as lawnmowers, trimmers, blowers, pressure washers
- Strong time management and attention to detail
- Willingness to work any shift, including weekends and holidays
- Understanding of cleaning techniques, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safe handling practices
- Ability to work independently and with other maintenance technicians
- Safety-focused and able to wear PPE as required
