Job Summary
Conduct general daily housekeeping duties including sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and washing surfaces. Set up tables and chairs for events while maintaining the internal and external appearance of the Garden. Remain alert and courteous to visitors, employees, vendors, and donors, reporting all accidents, injuries, and near-miss incidents immediately. Ensure recycled compost and landfill materials are placed in correct containers and empty trash as assigned. This role requires a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and the ability to lift 30-60 pounds. Work the second shift from 2:30 pm to 11:00 pm, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Paid training is provided to welcome visitors to The Missouri Botanical Garden.
Required Qualifications
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to lift 30-60 pounds
- Ability and willingness to work in varying temperatures and all-weather conditions
- Ability to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to obtain the required travel clearances, driving permits, and vaccinations for all countries where travel is required
