Job Summary
Facility Supervisor responsible for leading and supervising the scrap-metal processing/shredder operation, ensuring safety, scheduling, and staff development. Manages a non-technical production team, drives safety and production improvements, delivers hands-on supervision of shredder operation and maintenance, maintains professional interactions with customers and peers, motivates the team to achieve results, provides regular feedback, and coordinates regional transfers and forecasting with the facility manager. Requires heavy industrial supervisory experience, strong leadership and communication skills, ability to implement procedures to improve safety and efficiency, and willingness to work flexible hours as production needs dictate. Required Qualifications
- Previous heavy industrial supervisory experience (min. 2 yrs).
- Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and implement effective procedures to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency.
- Ability to direct and supervise production and maintenance personnel.
- Experience in a scrap metal shredding environment (preferred).
- Must possess excellent problem solving, organizational and team building skills.
