Job Summary
Maintain and secure facility, make and maintain ice surface, and ensure regular cleaning of public arenas. Drive ice resurfacer and operate equipment while overseeing on-site staff including Facility Operators and Support Staff. Complete required logs, schedule and manage payroll, and train new hires in coordination with management. Demonstrate commitment to customer service for internal and external patrons. Work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary to meet facility needs. Full-time seasonal role from September through March.
Required Qualifications
- HS Diploma or GED
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- valid Driver's License
- Full-time seasonal (September - March)
- Must be a self-starter with ability to analyze situations and develop solutions to problems with minimal supervision
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing, with a variety of individuals and groups, interested in recreational matters, representing different interests
- Must possess strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time effectively
- Eligible for medical, dental, vision, 401K and earned time after eligibility period is met
- Base pay range: $24 - $28 per hour
- Eligible for annual increase of 2% - 4% based upon performance
- Eligible for year-end discretionary bonus
- thorough background check including a CORI, SORI and National Criminal History Background check
Desired Qualifications
- One (1) year work experience in an ice arena or similar organization, with some exposure to the operations and maintenance functions, knowledge of equipment preferred, but not required
- Experience driving an ice resurfacer operation preferred, but willing to train
