Job Summary
Operate manual machines and CNC lathes to fabricate precision parts, fixtures, and tooling from blueprints. Perform preventative maintenance and mechanical, pneumatic, or hydraulic repairs on facility equipment to minimize downtime. Maintain shop safety and cleanliness while managing tooling inventory and documenting repairs. Partner with production and maintenance teams on continuous improvement initiatives. Requires 3+ years of manual machining experience and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Work hours could be scheduled for up to 10 hours a day in an industrial shop environment with exposure to noise, oils, and coolants.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of manual machining experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to read blueprints
- Ability to use micrometers/calipers
- Ability to perform basic welding
- Familiarity with manual machines and tooling associated with them
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Strict adherence to OSHA standards
- Ability to switch efficiently between high-precision machining tasks and general facility maintenance
- Strong time management skills
