Job Summary
Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative work for the campus, including minor electrical and plumbing fixes, painting, carpentry, and appliance installation. Respond to maintenance requests and emergency situations such as power outages, water leaks, and snow removal while participating in an on-call rotation. Manage trash and recycling areas, maintain grounds and landscaping, and assist with furniture moves and fire system testing. Work independently to prioritize tasks based on resident needs and maintain professional relationships with residents, visitors, and vendors.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of maintenance, facilities, property management, or related experience.
- Valid driver's license, good driving record, and ability to travel between two work locations.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
- Flexible and adaptable with the ability to handle interruptions and changing priorities.
- Ability to lift, carry, move, and work safely with maintenance tools, equipment, and supplies.
- Participation in an on-call rotation to support facility needs.
- Ability to respond to emergency maintenance situations, including after-hours calls.
