Job Summary
Plan, implement, and maintain industrial and physical security programs to support facility clearance requirements. Oversee personnel security processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the organization’s security posture through policy development, audits, and program administration. Travel within the domestic locations may be required. Responsibilities include managing facility security clearance (FCL) requirements, personnel security clearances, visit requests, and compliance with government regulations; maintaining security programs in government systems (DISS, NBIS, SWFT, NISS, e-FCL, SPOT) with accurate reporting and documentation; preparing for and supporting security audits, inspections, and assessments (including DCSA reviews) and implementing corrective actions; collaborating with internal stakeholders to enforce security policies (ITAR, CUI, insider threat program requirements) and providing training and guidance to employees; and performing other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
- 3 Years of Facility Security Officer (FSO) experience or 5 Years as Assistant FSO
- Active security clearance
- Knowledge of industrial security practices and government contracting requirements (e.g., NAVSEA SI 009-72)
- Experience with government security databases and clearance processing systems
- Ability to manage sensitive information and ensure regulatory compliance
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professional demeanor
- Experience in an industrial or government contracting environment preferred
