Job Summary
Oversee physical infrastructure, workplace safety, and asset protection for the Optical Systems Group, ensuring regulatory compliance and minimizing operational risks. Manage maintenance, repair, and operational efficiency of buildings, grounds, and critical systems including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing. Develop and maintain crisis management and business continuity plans, while supervising all facilities personnel and security operations. Conduct routine safety audits, hazard assessments, and inspections to eliminate unsafe practices, overseeing hazardous waste disposal and leading root-cause analyses. Act as the primary liaison with external contractors and building inspectors, coordinating with IT on classified systems and security documentation. This role supports Teledyne Technologies Incorporated's enabling technologies for industrial growth markets including aerospace, defense, and medical imaging.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, Environmental Science, Safety, or a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Facilities and/or EHS, preferably in medical devices, life sciences, or regulated manufacturing
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and environmental compliance requirements
- Proven experience managing facilities operations and external vendors
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in a manufacturing environment with regulatory oversight
- Proficient computer skills, including but not limited to Word, Excel & Outlook required
- Applicants must be either a U.S. citizen, U.S. national, legal permanent resident, asylee, refugee or must be eligible to apply for and obtain the appropriate export control license from the U.S. Departments of State or Commerce
Desired Qualifications
- Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, PE, or equivalent desired
- Experience supporting ISO-based quality systems desired
- Capital project management experience desired
