Job Summary
Perform comprehensive cleaning of facility areas including floors, bathrooms, and common spaces following established sanitation procedures. Conduct routine janitorial tasks such as dusting, sweeping, mopping, and trash removal, while assisting with deep cleaning of ceiling vents, light fixtures, walls, and hard-to-reach areas. Safely handle cleaning chemicals and equipment, maintain organized workspaces, and complete sanitation logs to track activities and ensure compliance. Report facility or equipment issues to the Facilities Maintenance Manager for prompt resolution. This full-time non-exempt role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and operation of heavy machinery like floor scrubbers. Candidates must be comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, and cannabis plant material.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Strong physical stamina
- Keen attention to detail
- Punctuality and reliability
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Basic knowledge of sanitation protocols and janitorial practices
- Must be able to use cleaning solutions and properly and safely use brooms, unload trash cans, and other cleaning supplies and tools
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted
- Capability to operate heavy machinery such as floor scrubber safely and efficiently
- Comfortable working in industrial environments with exposure to noise, dust, heat, cold, and other manufacturing conditions
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive physical tasks for extended periods
- Must be physically capable of sitting or standing for long periods or entire shifts
- All candidates must be willing to submit to a background check
