Job Summary
Facility Project Manager oversees multi-project facility initiatives from inception to completion, ensuring alignment with district standards, policies, and regulations. Responsibilities include developing specifications and scope of work, coordinating with contracts managers, inspectors, and site contractors, reviewing engineering/architectural plans and blueprints, preparing schematics/flow diagrams, managing bid/selection processes, conducting quality checks, and maintaining project documentation. The role requires strong knowledge of building trades (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing, fire protection, access control, and surveillance), excellent communication with internal stakeholders and the public, adherence to safety practices, and the ability to read plans, manage budgets, and monitor project timelines in a deadline-driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, management, or related discipline; relevant work experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis
- Three (3) years related work experience managing facility projects in a commercial environment
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
