Job Summary
Facility Project Manager (HVAC) responsible for managing district facility projects from inception to completion, including mechanical/electrical/structural components, surveillance and access control, and site improvements. Performs project planning, develops specifications, oversees bid processes, coordinates with contracts manager, conducts site inspections, reviews architectural/engineering plans, interprets blueprints, and ensures compliance with district standards and regulations. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, management, or related discipline and at least three years of related experience in facility project management. This is a full-time, 12-month role based in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools with responsibilities spanning school-based and district-level facilities, reporting to the Executive Director of Building Services.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, management, or related discipline; relevant work experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis
- Three (3) years related work experience managing facility projects in a commercial environment
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
