Job Summary
Responsible for providing leadership for the operations of the fertilizer/chemical facility. Assists the area operations manager with fertilizer/chemical inventory management, blending, and facility asset maintenance. Performs customer service and billing tasks to maintain inventory accuracy and profitability, operates and maintains facility equipment safely, assists with ordering and month-end procedures, and coordinates dispatch and scheduling for dry and liquid facilities. Supports sales during the non-blending season with prospective accounts and upgrades (plant food, chemical, seed, custom application, and precision ag). Back-up custom applicator duties, including chemical and NH3 application, may be required. Adheres to safety policies and company compliance programs and participates in required training.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- 3+ years of related work experience
- Obtain custom applicator license
- Valid CDL with endorsements
- Ability to work extended hours
- Strong organizational & leadership skills
- Knowledge of fertilizer facility operations, elevator operations, and equipment operations
