Job Summary
Oversee athletic facilities, including participants and equipment, while assisting with sports classes and maintaining participant and spectator safety. Supervise indoor gymnasiums, tracks, and outdoor fields, ensuring all rules are enforced and records such as attendance are maintained. Arrive 15 minutes prior to shifts to set up and break down equipment, complete incident reports as necessary, and attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings. Adhere to YMCA policies and emergency procedures while fostering skill development and promoting fair play.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 15
- CPR certification
- AED certification
- Basic First Aid certification
- Experience in sports as both a player and coach/instructor
- Sufficient strength, agility, mobility and endurance to run up and down a full sized basketball court
- Ability to climb
- Ability to crouch
- Ability to stand
- Ability to sit on floor
- Ability to kneel
- Ability to carry 50 lbs
- Ability to push
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Ability to run
- Ability to walk
