Job Summary
Operate, maintain, repair, and install machinery, plumbing fixtures, simple HVAC/R controls, and varied tasks including painting, carpentry, and electrical work. Respond to trouble calls and requests within facilities by analyzing equipment and testing requirements using hand and power tools. Perform routine building maintenance and inspections on mechanical, plumbing, electrical, HVAC/R, carpentry, and painting systems. Prepare, maintain, and submit requisitions for materials, work orders, records, and reports pertaining to facility equipment and systems to the Supervisor. Requires a technical school diploma, two years of experience in skilled trades, and a valid New Jersey Driver's License. Salary range is $25.90 to $27.19 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Technical school diploma or an equivalent level of knowledge
- Two (2) years of experience in the fields of electrical, plumbing, HVAC/R, carpentry, painting and/or general maintenance
- Experience in an industrial, education and/or healthcare setting
- Ability to perform minor repair to all skilled trades including mechanical equipment/systems, HVAC/R, electrical, plumbing, and fire alarm systems
- Valid New Jersey Driver's License

- New Jersey Black Seal Engineer's License
