Facility Mechanic

Job Summary
Maintain buildings and facility systems including water, refrigeration, HVAC, air, and fire systems while troubleshooting recurring breakdowns and recommending procedural changes. Utilize testing equipment to determine root causes and perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, roof, refrigeration towers, and wastewater treatment plants. Complete minor building repairs, electrical work, and pump replacements while maintaining thorough documentation in maintenance management software. Serve as a backup primary operator for the wastewater treatment plant, ensuring compliant processing and proper chemical tolerance. Work the 3rd shift from 11pm to 7:30am Tuesday through Saturday.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in a maintenance environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs
- Knowledge in electrical, mechanical, HVAC, basic computer operations, safety procedures, welding, plumbing, and refrigeration
- Ability to wear personal respirator and/or self-contained breathing apparatus
- Willingness and availability to work overtime or on an emergency 'on-call' basis
- Excellent attendance record
- Proficiency in English (reading, writing, and conversing) to receive written and verbal job and safety instructions and comprehend hazardous material labeling
- Availability to work 3rd shift, 11pm-7:30am, Tuesday to Saturday
