Job Summary
Facility Mechanic/Locksmith responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining locks, deadbolts, knobs and related door/window security hardware. Maintains key inventories, develops keying schemes, issues and codes keys, prepares reports, and supports preventative maintenance; evaluates security-related issues, coordinates with vendors and other departments, and ensures compliance with environmental, health and safety policies. Requires 12-hour rotating shifts, willingness to wear PPE, and ability to meet security clearance requirements. Location: North Bay, Ontario, Canada.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma plus locksmithing training or certification
- Locksmithing training or licensing
- Current knowledge of fire, life, safety and building codes
- Licenses or professional accreditation as a locksmith
- Ability to perform facility operations and maintenance tasks
- Strong communication and customer-service skills
