Job Summary
Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks including fixing floors, walls, ceilings, doors, windows, painting, and cleaning drop ceilings. Assist in executing preventive maintenance schedules by inspecting equipment, documenting findings, and monitoring HVAC units, room temperatures, and differential pressures. Support permit inspections, maintain records of completed activities, and perform general upkeep such as basic carpentry while adhering to safety standards and using appropriate PPE. Work indoors and occasionally outdoors with exposure to varying weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to climb ladders
- Ability to perform tasks requiring manual dexterity
- Ability to follow instructions
- Ability to troubleshoot basic issues
- Ability to communicate effectively with team members
- Ability to safely operate basic maintenance tools and equipment
- Basic understanding of HVAC systems
- Basic understanding of construction
- Basic understanding of fire suppression systems
- Basic understanding of electrical systems
- Skill in performing minor repairs and maintenance
- Ability to read basic diagrams and schematics
Desired Qualifications
- Technical training in maintenance, HVAC, or a related field
- 1-3 years in facility maintenance or a related field
- 1-3 years familiarity with basic hand tools and equipment used in maintenance tasks
- High proficiency in safely operating basic maintenance tools and equipment
- Medium proficiency in basic understanding of HVAC systems, construction, fire suppression systems and electrical systems
- Medium proficiency in skill in performing minor repairs and maintenance
- Low proficiency in Familiarity with Microsoft Office for documentation
- Low proficiency in Ability to read basic diagrams and schematics
- Low proficiency in Ability to use CMMS system
