Job Summary
Experienced Facilities Manager needed to oversee improvement, repair, and maintenance of client facilities and building systems (including HVAC and electrical) for a government client at Fort Belvoir, VA. Lead a team of skilled technicians, plan and schedule work assignments, develop preventive maintenance programs, monitor workmanship for compliance with project specifications and codes, collaborate with trades and on-site leadership, respond to emergency duties, and uphold safety protocols while maintaining positive relationships with staff and customers. 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday; work locations across Ft. Belvoir facilities and related sites. Requires 15+ years of facility maintenance/management, strong problem solving, knowledge of building and fire codes, safety tool proficiency, ability to work with minimal supervision, and a High School Diploma; ability to obtain/retain a SECRET clearance (STS will sponsor).
Required Qualifications
- 15+ years of facility maintenance and management experience
- Strong problem solving skills and mechanical aptitude
- Knowledge of local building and fire codes, regulations and safety standards
- Familiar with safety protocols associated with hand tools and power tools used in building construction and repair
- Ability to collaborate with skilled staff and senior leadership and provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work independently with little supervision and as part of a team
- Minimum Education: High School Diploma
- Must be able to obtain and retain a secret clearance (STS will sponsor clearance investigation)
