Job Summary
Oversee the complete lifecycle management of the Stevens corporate campus, including planning, directing, and supervising all facilities operations, maintenance, repair, and capital improvement projects up to $500,000. Manage structural systems, utilities, and vendor contracts while establishing safety protocols and preventative maintenance programs to ensure compliance with federal and local regulations. Direct the maintenance team and contractors to execute remodeling initiatives and optimize space utilization across the 75,000-square-foot facility and surrounding grounds. This role operates Monday through Friday with on-call availability for after-hours emergencies, reporting directly to leadership to align facility strategy with business objectives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Demonstrated success managing multi-site facilities as facility management or building operations
- Strong knowledge of building systems, maintenance practices, and construction/remodeling projects
- Experience overseeing budgets, compliance programs, vendors, and service contracts
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance, safety standards, and environmental requirements
- Ability to operate independently while collaborating with internal teams and stakeholders
- 5+ years of progressive experience in facility management, building operations, or logistics/transportation environments
- 3+ years of experience managing maintenance teams, vendors, and contractors
- Experience with utilities, HVAC systems, contractors, and facility infrastructure
- Experience overseeing facility maintenance programs, remodeling projects, and capital improvements
- Experience managing both routine maintenance and capital improvement projects
- Experience in large campus, warehouse, or industrial environments
- Demonstrated experience managing budgets, contracts, and operational KPIs
- Experience in large campus, warehouse, or multi-site environments
- Ability to walk, stand, and inspect facilities for extended periods of time
- Ability to support facility oversight activities, which may include coordinating physical tasks, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to access various areas of facilities, including maintenance rooms, rooftops, and operational spaces
- Frequent bending, stooping, and reaching as required for inspections and oversight
- Ability to work in both office and field environments, including exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels
- May require availability for after-hours, on-call, or emergency response situations
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in transportation, logistics, or large campus environments
- Professional certifications (e.g., IFMA, CFM, FMP)
- Experience with facility management systems (CMMS) or building automation tools
- Bilingual Spanish communication skills
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or equivalent practical experience strongly preferred
- Relevant experience will be given full consideration
- Professional certifications such as CFM, FMP, or IFMA are preferred
