Job Summary
Facility Manager to oversee daily operations of a utility-scale wind farm near Bellevue, Ohio. Serves as the principal on-site contact representing Apex Clean Energy, supervising on-site operations and maintenance for balance of plant assets, managing OEM service contracts, facilitating safety and regulatory reporting, and coordinating external vendors. Responsibilities include implementing safety programs, monitoring facility performance, maintaining operating and quality control procedures, coordinating maintenance outages, and engaging with landowners and community stakeholders. Requires NFPA 70E expertise, 5+ years in wind/site management, substation/collection/transmission maintenance experience, travel up to ~25%, and a Bachelor's degree in a related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or a related field
- NFPA 70E accreditation
- Minimum of 5 years of wind site manager experience
- At least 2 years of substation, collection, transmission equipment operation and maintenance experience
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Strong communication and leadership abilities
- Experience managing third party suppliers, contractors, and public engagement
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Proficiency in mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and maintenance
