Job Summary
Manage corporate-owned healthcare facilities and campus buildings, including outpatient clinics and office spaces, by leading maintenance teams on regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and financial performance. Oversee critical infrastructure such as boilers, chillers, and air handlers while ensuring perpetual readiness for DNV, AAAHC, and Department of Public Health surveys. Maintain strict adherence to operating budgets, track KPI and SLA performance, and partner with sourcing teams to execute vendor contracts and manage project delivery. Create annual performance management programs for staff, ensure training in approved maintenance techniques, and foster a safe work environment through infection control policies and safety gear enforcement. Serve as the first point of escalation for facility concerns and actively participate in site committees for environment of care and emergency management.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of commercial Facility Management, Plant Operations, Engineering, or maintenance supervision experience
- Managerial experience with proven budget and personnel management responsibilities
- Regulatory compliance experience including TJC (The Joint Commission), DNV, AAAHC, and state Department of Public Health requirements
- Comprehensive knowledge of activities necessary to maintain perpetual regulatory compliance
- Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills including report writing ability
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Ability to work effectively in a healthcare environment with sensitivity to patient care operations
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- College degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related technical field
- Completion of formal apprenticeship program or technical trade school certification
- Hospital or healthcare facility management experience
- Fundamental skills in building critical systems including HVAC, electrical and mechanical systems, life safety systems, and power distribution systems
- Experience with Integrated Facilities Management service delivery models
- Professional certifications such as CFM (Certified Facility Manager), FMP (Facility Management Professional), or similar credentials
