Job Summary
Manage a portfolio of properties across Canada, serving as the single point of contact for facility requests and building relationships with clients and tenants. Develop and defend budgets for operations, transactions, and capital projects while meeting annual performance targets. Oversee preventative maintenance schedules, coordinate third-party sub-contractors, and perform annual building inspections to drive cost-effective facility operations.
Required Qualifications
- Five to ten years' experience in a property/facility management environment
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Excellent people management skills
- Self-starter, willing to learn, able to work independently
- Excellent business management/development skills
- Excellent at planning and organising
- Strong negotiation skills
- Knowledge of building standards and requirements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Superior communication and facilitation skills required to advise and influence client
- Strong computer skills
- Strong customer focus
- Strong technical knowledge
- Ability to multitask and meet strict deadlines under pressure
- Ability to work in a high touch environment with high client expectations
- Certified Facility Manager through International Facility Management Association (IFMA)
- Certified Property Manager through Institute of Real Estate Management
- Facility Management Administrator Designation through Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI)
- Real Property Administrator through Building Owners and Managers Institute (BOMI)
