Facility Management Associate I - Fire and Life Safety Systems

Job Summary
Coordinate maintenance and services for the facility in a cost-effective manner, responding timely to building maintenance requests and ensuring the physical condition of the building and grounds. Perform general repairs including installing and relocating fixtures, minor carpentry, and equipment inspections. Assist in managing service contracts, support spill response and first aid teams, and update the Facility Management SharePoint site. Provide backup support for waste management and shipping/receiving tasks as needed. Requires five years of facilities maintenance experience, building maintenance knowledge, and ability to work 12-hour shifts on feet. Reports to Manager, Facilities & Utilities Maintenance.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience in facilities maintenance or similar field
- Building maintenance knowledge/experience
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in engineering, business or planning, or an equivalent combination of education & experience
- Knowledge of security systems
- Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Participation in emergency response teams
- Pharmaceutical experience
- Good communication & writing skills
- Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.)
- Ability to develop & manage action plans to achieve targets
