Job Summary
Perform routine inspections of club facilities to identify repairs, cleaning, or maintenance needs, then complete minor plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, drywall, and general building repairs. Conduct preventative maintenance on equipment, fixtures, doors, lighting, and building systems while keeping the clubhouse, maintenance areas, storage rooms, offices, restrooms, and common areas clean and organized. Troubleshoot maintenance issues, coordinate with outside contractors for specialized repairs, and respond promptly to requests from management and department leaders. Maintain accurate records of inspections, repairs, and cleaning needs, and ensure workshops and work areas remain clean, safe, and orderly. Follow all safety procedures and report unsafe conditions immediately. This full-time role includes early mornings, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional emergency call-ins.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass any required background or employment screening
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, and work in a variety of indoor and outdoor conditions
- Ability to safely use ladders and work at moderate heights
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to perform physical maintenance and cleaning work for extended periods
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and weather conditions when required
- Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Professional appearance and respectful communication with members, guests, coworkers, and contractors
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, cleaning equipment, and maintenance equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in facility maintenance, building maintenance, construction, custodial maintenance, or a related trade
- General knowledge of plumbing, electrical systems, carpentry, painting, cleaning procedures, and mechanical repairs
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to recognize items that require cleaning, repair, replacement, or improvement
- Ability to maintain clean, organized, and professional work areas
