Facility Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Major and minor repair of auxiliary equipment including PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical/mechanical faults within HVAC systems. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot operations of air handlers, chillers, compressors, and pumps while utilizing Building Management Software to schedule equipment run times. Perform routine preventative maintenance, facility repairs, and improvements to building structure and grounds. Coordinate with Maintenance Personnel, Engineering, Production, and outside contractors to ensure facility support. Requires EPA Universal refrigerant certification within 30 days, 2+ years HVAC experience, and ability to work on feet with frequent bending and lifting up to 40 lbs in a manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
- certification in EPA Universal refrigerant or equivalent – Type 2 or 3
- 2 years commercial or industrial HVAC experience
- enrolled in HVAC vocational program
- high school diploma or GED from an accredited organization
- Good documentation skills
- some mechanical and/or electrical experience
- Good communication skills
- ability to work well with other departments
- ability to maintain a clean and neat work environment
- ability to adapt in constantly changing situations
- Use of hand tools
- Good documentation of completed work
- ability to manage time effectively
- ability to multitask
- ability to meet internal customer expectations
- Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time
- Bending, kneeling, and squatting

- Good personal hygiene
- Required PPE must be worn without exception
