Job Summary
The Facility Maintenance Technician performs routine maintenance and repairs on airport facilities and equipment, monitors, inspects, and troubleshoots electrical, plumbing, and mechanical systems, reads blueprints, and manages work orders to support airport operations. Responsibilities include inspecting terminal and related facilities, diagnosing faulty equipment, replacing mechanical components (e.g., electric motors, pumps, conveyors), ensuring compliance with FAR Part 139, maintaining accurate records, and supporting on-call needs on the 2nd shift (3:00pm–11:30pm). The ideal candidate will have hands-on electrical/plumbing/mechanical experience, strong safety awareness, ability to troubleshoot and repair various systems, read blueprints, and work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years' experience in facility maintenance or mechanical repair
- Up to 1 year of technical or trade schooling in electrical, plumbing or mechanic systems (preferred)
- Hands-on experience in plumbing, electrical, and/or mechanical work (less than 1 year required)
