Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance, repair machinery, and install equipment for buildings, grounds, and utilities including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and sewage systems. Respond to emergency requests, troubleshoot issues, and execute scheduled or nonscheduled tasks while reading blueprints and calculating material requirements. Support exterior grounds activities such as landscaping and trash removal, assist licensed tradespeople, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities. Work night, weekend, and overtime shifts with occasional local travel between sites.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years experience in the maintenance trade
- strong knowledge of electrical
- strong knowledge of plumbing
- strong knowledge of structural repairs
- A valid Indiana driver's license
Desired Qualifications
- Formal trade school
- an associate degree in facility management
- engineering program
- a related field
