Job Summary
Maintenance technician plays a key role in protecting warehouse operations by performing routine general maintenance and repair across the facility. Responsibilities include repairing doors, dock levelers, freezer doors, sprinkler systems, and electrical work per OSHA Standards; basic maintenance on roofing systems; routine maintenance of HVAC systems; inspecting equipment for OSHA/operational compliance; testing and evaluating equipment with voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges; maintaining tools, batteries, and preventive maintenance records; conducting safety equipment tests (exit signs, fire extinguishers, sprinklers); keeping work areas clean; performing external maintenance such as snow removal, painting, and paving when needed; and supporting on-call and flexible shifts. Required experience includes a high school diploma or GED, proficiency in electrical/plumbing/sprinkler/carpentry repairs, 2+ years in industrial/facilities maintenance or an equivalent certification, and the ability to work nights/weekends and lift up to 50 pounds. Compensation ranges from $17.75 to $26.50 hourly, converted to annualized figures as part of the posted range. The role emphasizes OSHA standards compliance, equipment testing, preventive maintenance records, and safe operation of tools in a warehouse environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Proficient in troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, sprinkler systems, and carpentry
- 2+ years of industrial and/or facilities maintenance experience OR Equivalent technical or vocational certification in lieu of experience
- Knowledge of equipment in maintenance trades
- Physical ability to meet listed requirements
