Facility Maintenance Technician II

Job Summary
Perform routine general maintenance and repair throughout the warehouse, including electrical work, roofing systems, and HVAC for office and break rooms. Diagnose and fix doors, dock levelers, freezer doors, and sprinkler systems while adhering to OSHA standards. Test safety equipment, maintain batteries and chargers, and conduct preventive maintenance records. Use voltmeters, ohmmeters, and pressure gauges to evaluate equipment performance. Keep work areas clean, manage tools and machinery, and handle snow removal, painting, and paving repairs. Answer security alarm calls, follow attendance policies, and work flexible shifts including nights and weekends in cold storage environments.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Proficient in the troubleshooting and repair of electrical, plumbing, sprinkler systems, and carpentry
- 2+ years of industrial and/or facilities maintenance experience
- Equivalent technical or vocational certification in lieu of experience
- Knowledge of various types of equipment in maintenance trades
- Must tolerate heights up to 35 ft. and be able to access elevated platforms and catwalks
- Must be able to climb ladders and stairs
- Must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to use hand and power tools
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, feel, and/or manipulate parts & tools
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and depth perception. Either naturally or with the aid of eye glasses
- Able to work nights and weekends
- Able to pass a physical and respiratory exam
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a Cold Storage environment
- Vocational/technical certification and/or training
- Experience using Oracle Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
