Facility Maintenance Technician I

Job Summary
Monitor facility boilers, chiller systems, air compressors, and cooling towers on a 24/7 rotating schedule, conducting mandatory two-hour rounds to check for machinery problems. Perform unscheduled and preventive maintenance on building and production equipment, including general upkeep for doors, walls, and floors. Organize maintenance inventory, develop standard operating procedures, and maintain equipment history files to minimize downtime. Comply with Health and Safety and Quality Assurance guidelines while participating in off-hours emergency coverage as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 1st class boilers license
- Must be able to work flexible hours
- High school diploma, or GED
- Two or more years related experience
- Minimum of 3 - 5 years' experience in equipment maintenance work with other trades (mechanical, electrical, HVAC and plumbing)
- Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of shop math
- Knowledge of High-Pressure Boiler Systems
- Knowledge of HVAC Systems
- Boiler License and/or Electrician's License is a plus
