Job Summary
Perform mechanical maintenance and preventive maintenance work on plumbing, hydraulic, pneumatic systems, and general plant equipment under supervision. Diagnose and repair systems, locate parts, and execute tasks including carpentry, painting, concrete repairs, and minor air conditioning maintenance. Operate forklifts, man lifts, and track hoes while maintaining emergency systems and keeping the workshop orderly. Collaborate with production crews and the maintenance supervisor on special projects. Requires basic mechanics knowledge, tool operation skills, and reliable attendance. Regular standing, lifting up to 50 pounds, and exposure to moving mechanical parts and loud noise. Hourly rate $25–$28.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and written
- Must have basic knowledge of mechanics
- Must have basic computer skills
- Must be able to operate the following tools and equipment: Hand tools
- Must be able to operate the following tools and equipment: Mobile and stationary equipment in plant
- Ability to see close and distance
- Ability to distinguish colors
- Clear peripheral vision
- Depth perception
- Regular standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling
- Frequent sitting, climbing, and balancing
- Regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds
- Frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work at heights
- Regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts
- Loud noise level
- Outside work in the elements
- Ability to work at heights

Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Additional technical education and/or training is preferred
- 1-3 years of production manufacturing maintenance support is preferred
