Job Summary
Monitor facility boilers, chiller systems, air compressors, and wastewater treatment units every two hours while standing watch on a rotating schedule to ensure continuous operations. Perform unscheduled and preventive maintenance on production equipment, repair building infrastructure, and organize inventory supplies. Develop standard operating procedures and maintain equipment history files to minimize mechanical downtime. Comply with Health and Safety programs, Quality Assurance guidelines, and state regulations during off-hours emergency coverage as needed. Assist with assigned projects to support a 24/7 environment where downtime is costly.
Required Qualifications
- GED or High School Diploma
- 3+ years' experience in equipment maintenance work related to trades such as mechanical, electrical, HVAC and/or plumbing
- Ability to follow written and verbal instruction
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated knowledge of shop math
- Knowledge of High-Pressure Boiler Systems
- Knowledge of HVAC Systems
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Must be available for off-hours emergency coverage
- Must be available for travel to other facilities
- Must be available for Monday-Friday shifts, approximately 7 am - 3:30 pm
- Must be willing to work in a manufacturing facility
- Must be willing to work in a 24/7 environment on either a fixed or rotating schedule
- Must be willing to make rounds every two hours of the mechanical room and the air handling room
- Must be willing to perform unscheduled and preventive maintenance building and facility and production equipment
- Must be willing to perform scheduled and corrective maintenance of complex equipment and systems
- Must be willing to help develop departmental standard operating procedures
- Must be willing to maintain GMP and non-GMP equipment history files
- Must be willing to develop preventative and predictive maintenance programs and procedures
- Must be willing to reduce mechanical downtime
- Must be willing to ensure that breakdown and repairs are minimized
- Must be willing to comply with all Health and Safety programs
- Must be willing to adhere to all Quality Assurance System guidelines
- Must be willing to ensure compliance with quality system procedures related to the Facility equipment and general day to day operations
- Must be willing to perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor
