Facility Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Conduct general repairs to buildings, grounds equipment, plumbing, electrical systems, ice machines, and water coolers. Remove, replace, and repair facility safety-related problems including bolts, mirror balls, and parking posts. Install signage throughout the plant, coordinate door repairs and upgrades, and assist in office and furniture moves. Perform seasonal grounds preparation, maintain office cleaning, and manage trash removal. Execute tasks involving standing for long periods, lifting up to 50 pounds, and bending or squatting while wearing safety glasses, hearing protection, and steel-toed boots. Requires 1 to 3 years of manufacturing experience, high school diploma, and proficiency in handheld and power tools.
Required Qualifications
- English and/or Mandarin
- Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers
- 1 to 3 years' manufacturing experience and /or training
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to stand for long periods
- Ability to turn at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting to 50 pounds
- Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip)
- NEAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less
- FAR ACUITY - Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more
- DEPTH PERCEPTION - Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships
- FIELD OF VISION - Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point

- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS - Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide into all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- REASONING ABILITY - Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
- COMPUTER SKILLS - Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software
- Be mechanically inclined
- Proficient in the use of handheld and power tools
- Self-driven able to work with minimal or no supervision
- Be able to work with employees at all levels of the organization
- Operation and use of floor scrubbers

Desired Qualifications
- Experience 1 to 3 years' manufacturing experience and /or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
