Facility Maintenance Technician

Job Summary
Perform major and minor repairs on auxiliary equipment including PLCs, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems. Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot HVAC operations, RTUs, air handlers, chillers, compressors, and pumps while utilizing Building Management Software to schedule equipment run times. Execute facility repairs, improvements to building structures, and complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks. Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults within HVAC and other facility equipment, ensuring all work is documented effectively. Collaborate with Maintenance Personnel, Engineering, Production, and outside contractors to support facility operations with minimal supervision.
Required Qualifications
- certification in EPA Universal refrigerant or equivalent – Type 2 or 3
- 2 years commercial or industrial HVAC experience
- enrolled in HVAC vocational program
- high school diploma or GED from an accredited organization
- mechanical and/or electrical experience
- Good documentation skills
- Good communication skills
- ability to work well with other departments

- Use of hand tools
- Good documentation of completed work

- Must be able to be on feet for long periods of time

Desired Qualifications
