Job Summary
Facility Maintenance Technician with active TS/SCI required to support mission-critical programs at Fort Belvoir. Responsibilities include performing general and specialized trade work (electrical, carpentry, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding, drywall, and ceiling systems), maintenance of facility exteriors (fencing and gates), and infrastructure sustainment tasks (changing bulbs, painting, etc.). Develop supply estimates, gather technical data, evaluate safety procedures, and prepare material/fiscal requirements for projects. Assist project coordination in planning, cost estimation, design, development, and completion of local projects. Apply knowledge of OSHA, ECAP, NEC and related regulations to construction and building activities; interpret blueprints and diagrams; perform lock servicing and repair to ensure safety. Lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, and work in varied environmental conditions. Requires US Citizenship and TS/SCI clearance. The salary range is $49,900 - $100,000. Required Qualifications
- Vocational or High School Diploma or equivalent
- five years’ experience as a General Maintenance Technician
- experience with electrical, carpentry, painting, concrete, plumbing, welding, drywall; interpreting diagrams, specifications, manuals, and cost estimates
- experience troubleshooting to determine problems
- ability to communicate system problems to coworkers and management
- US Citizenship; TS/SCI Clearance
