Job Summary
Oversee general upkeep of the Port Hueneme Facility by performing routine preventative maintenance, special projects, and repairs to building and operational equipment. Inspect, operate, or test machinery to diagnose malfunctions, MIG weld and fabricate for car wash repairs, and tear down devices to remove defective parts. Adjust functional parts using hand tools and levels, and maintain car wash operations to meet daily target goals. Record maintenance costs, obtain quotes for outsourced PM, and perform routine checks on drives, motors, belts, and filters for forklifts, air compressors, and hydraulic pumps. Maintain facility inventory of supplies, conduct minor building maintenance like painting and tank cleaning, manage hazardous waste areas, and perform janitorial cleaning. Available for overtime.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to understand any and all safety requirements with respect to equipment and machinery required
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions required
- Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace required
- Ability to read and interpret owners manuals, blueprints required
- High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
- 4 Years of Direct Experience in Mechanical, welding, troubleshooting Required
- Training in Welding, DOT HazMat required
- Must hold a valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions
- Must be available for overtime
- Ability to use desktop, computers, laptop, printer, scanners, shredders, etc.
- Have precise manual dexterity for writing, typing, etc.
- Sit constantly 5+ hours per day
- Stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach over shoulder, pull, pull, squat frequently 3-5 hours per day
- Drive, climb, kneel, balance, crawl, crouch occasionally 1-3 hours per day
- Lift up to 50lbs frequently
- Carry up to 50lbs frequently
- Simple and firm grasping of hands for repetitive actions frequently
