Job Summary
The Facility Maintenance Tech III is responsible for maintaining the equipment and grounds of Gateway Regional Medical Center in an orderly and safe condition. This role requires comprehensive mechanical knowledge of heating ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration, including HVAC system component repair and replacement. The technician must also possess electrical and plumbing expertise, including the assembly of pipe sections and electrical power distribution systems. Duties include performing scheduled maintenance, documentation of work orders, assisting in minor construction projects, and ensuring compliance with preventative maintenance schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in an applicable trade or license/certification
- Valid Driver's License
- Journeyman equivalent knowledge of the general trades
- Comprehensive mechanical knowledge of HVAC systems
- Comprehensive electrical knowledge
- Comprehensive plumbing knowledge
