Job Summary
Perform maintenance service and repairs in carpentry, painting, plastering, and electrical systems. Diagnose mechanical problems by checking blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs. Repair or replace defective equipment parts using hand and power tools, then reassemble machinery. Inspect drives, motors, belts, and fluid levels while following checklists. Assemble, install, or repair wiring, plumbing, and pipe systems. Operate and test machinery to diagnose malfunctions. Requires at least two years of related experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift 50 lbs. Located in Richardson, TX, with a salary range of $51,000 - $67,200.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- At least 2 years related experience
- Strong knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
- Strong knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings, or other structures
- Strong knowledge of design techniques, tools, blueprints, drawings, and models
- Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
- Ability to lift and carry a minimum of 50 lbs
