Job Summary
Facility Maintenance Tech responsible for general building maintenance, repairs, and preventive maintenance to ensure facilities, shop areas, and equipment operate safely and efficiently. Duties include replacing and repairing lighting, maintaining HVAC and basic electrical/plumbing components, upkeep of garage doors and shop equipment, building integrity monitoring, interior/exterior upkeep, janitorial support, groundskeeping and snow removal, and maintaining facility maintenance records and inventory. Requires high school diploma or GED, minimum 2 years in facility/building maintenance, knowledge of electrical/plumbing/HVAC/mechanical systems, proficiency with hand/power/air tools, forklift certification or ability to obtain, proficiency with Microsoft Office, strong communication and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school training preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in facility or building maintenance
- Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and mechanical systems
- Forklift certification or ability to obtain required (Fork Truck Safety License)
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams)
- Effective communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Clean driving record and valid driver’s license
