Job Summary
Facility Maintenance Team Member will assist the Facility Maintenance Manager with daily upkeep of SCHEELS Sports Park at Legacy Pointe’s buildings and grounds. The role involves performing manual tasks and tasks requiring on-the-job training or experience, supervising and assisting team members, maintaining facility appearance, inventorying and organizing maintenance areas, coordinating cleaning around daily activities, managing utilities (lighting, temperature controls, heaters), maintaining and repairing playing surfaces, scheduling maintenance on equipment, coordinating with outside vendors when needed, monitoring grounds appearance, coordinating with directors and contractors to avoid conflicts, operating sports equipment and related machinery, maintaining supply inventories and maintenance logs, and completing special projects as directed by the Facility Maintenance Manager. The position requires willingness to work long hours and varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays and to lift up to 50 pounds in all weather conditions.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent certification requirements
- Must have experience working with sports facilities and associated grounds and equipment
- General knowledge of maintenance, janitorial & landscaping
- Understand and follow both oral and written instructions
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Effective time management skills
- Prior experience using maintenance equipment and procedures
- Candidate must be available and willing to work long hours and varying shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
