Job Summary
Oversee day-to-day building operations and supervise maintenance and housekeeping staff, managing building complexities including the building management system, heating systems, and unit turnover. Coordinate, dispatch, and verify work performed via the work order system while overseeing unit-turnover processes and contractor services. Respond to emergency calls and rectify existing conditions, address tenant concerns through meetings or written notices, and respond to summons, violations, and city complaints. Assist in developing strategies to reduce violations and maintain inspection logs for federal, state, and city regulations to ensure building compliance with all codes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED, or Trade School Certification
- Minimum 3 years working in the building trades or related field
- Previous experience using Maintenance Connection, or another Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) system
- Basic skills in plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and dry wall application
- current S-12 Fire Sprinkler, S-13 Standpipe, S-95 Fire Alarm Systems Certifications
- F-80 Certificate of Fitness for Coordinator of Fire Safety and Alarm Systems
- Ability to read and understand English
- Ability to work with diverse population, including persons with mental illness and histories of homelessness
Desired Qualifications
- Previous supervisory experience
- Taken supervisory and managerial training seminars
- F-07 and W-07 Fitness for Fire and Emergency Drill Conductor Certifications
