Job Summary
Perform preventive maintenance tasks, oversee emergency repairs, and coordinate daily activities to support Total Preventive Maintenance and Reliability Centered Maintenance programs. Plan work orders for equipment, minimize waste, and maintain organization in maintenance and product support areas. Participate in continuous improvement processes and analyze performance trends to recommend corrective actions. Read blueprints, troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and operate forklifts as needed. Work extended hours in a fast-paced environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to plan, organize and coordinate daily activities
- Ability to maximize productivity and minimize waste
- Willingness to work in a safe manner and promote a safe working environment
- Perform all needed maintenance functions in support of Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) initiative and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) programs
- Perform emergency repairs as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance task as scheduled
- Participate in continuous improvement process
- Maintain organization and cleanliness of maintenance and product support areas
- Computer skills (basic computer knowledge)
- Knowledge of electrical systems including 110-480V systems, AC & DC control systems, installing, troubleshooting and repair
- Working knowledge of hydraulic, plumbing, and pneumatic systems
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, with ammonia
- Welding-TIG, MIG, Stick, etc. Stainless / Sanitary equipment experience
- Ability to read and understand blueprints
- Knowledge of plant mechanical processes sufficient to analyze performance trends and recommend and initiate corrective actions to improve process performance
- Ability to lift at least 50 lbs. above the waist 10 times per day
- Significant bending and stooping
- Exposure to heights (may be elevated 40ft. on lift equipment)
- Willingness to work extended or any scheduled work hours
Desired Qualifications
- Working knowledge of PLC controls
- Knowledge of refrigeration systems, with ammonia (preferred by not required)
- Stainless / Sanitary equipment experience
- Forklift and pallet-jack certification
