Job Summary
Manage the Maintenance and Custodial Services contract by communicating requirements to the contractor, preparing work orders, and verifying repair completion in the database. Conduct regular inspections of client dormitories and common areas while ensuring preventive maintenance follows approved schedules. Act as the 24-hour on-call point of contact for emergency repairs and coordinate with Program Staff and Central Office to address violations from oversight inspections. Implement Quality Assurance procedures, provide staff supervision, and attend Department of Buildings and Environmental Control Board hearings when required. Maintain a valid driver's license and hold the FDNY F-80 Certificate of Fitness.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma
- Minimum of five years of facilities management experience
- Experience with plumbing
- Experience with electrical
- Experience with HVAC
- Experience with boiler operations
- Associate's Degree in Operations Management
- Associate's Degree in related field
- Minimum of three years of facilities management experience
- FDNY F-80 Certificate of Fitness for coordination of Fires Safety and Alarm System
- FLSD F-89 Fire Life Safety Director
- Computer literacy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
- Valid drivers license
