Job Summary
Facility Manager responsible for maintenance, repairs, and operations of Ontario Sports Empire with emphasis on HVAC, technology, kitchen equipment, and athletic field turf. Leads maintenance staff, coordinates contractors, manages logs and inventories, oversees budgets and performance metrics, ensures OSHA/ADA compliance, and supports events by scheduling staff and coordinating with City of Gardendale. Maintains facility systems (sprinkler, alarm), coordinates inspections, and oversees vendor contracts and changeovers; drives safety, housekeeping, and facility policies.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree or related degree/certificate to the position
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Advance working knowledge of commercial facilities including HVAC, electrical, suppression systems, and kitchen equipment
- Experience working with sports facilities and associated grounds and equipment
- Advanced working knowledge of maintenance, janitorial, and landscaping standards
- Prior responsibility in managing a daily P&L, management and budget oversight
- Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and negotiating skills
- Must be a team player with a positive can-do attitude
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent management and scheduling abilities for outside vendors & contractors
- Solid computer skills including Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook, A/V, etc.
- Must be able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Must be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certifications within a specific period
- Ability to understand, learn, and utilize various computer-based systems
