Job Summary
Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on dock doors, electrical systems, plumbing, lighting, concrete, and racking. Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and refrigeration issues to minimize downtime while maintaining OSHA compliance and conducting daily facility walkthroughs. Coordinate with third-party vendors for specialized repairs, maintain logs and work orders, and support emergency repairs and on-call situations. Work in cold storage environments as low as -10°F, lifting up to 50 lbs, with potential night, weekend, or overtime shifts during peak periods.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 2+ years of facility maintenance experience in an industrial or warehouse setting
- Basic knowledge electrical, and mechanical systems
- Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment independently
- Comfortable working in cold storage environments (refrigerated and freezer conditions)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks (climbing, bending, standing)
- Employment is contingent upon passing a background check and drug screen
- May require working nights, weekends, or overtime during peak periods
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in temperature-controlled or food-grade logistics environments
- Basic welding or fabrication skills are a plus
