Job Summary
Conduct sick and well visits, newborn rounding, and level 1 nursery rounds in a Georgia clinic setting with an average daily census of 15 to 25. Provide circumscribed care and stabilize patients for transport, while attending C-sections and high-risk deliveries at OB request. Manage a weeknight call from 5 pm to 7 am and a 24-hour weekend rotation shared with two family practice physicians. This locum tenens role offers a path to permanent employment after a three-month trial period, includes paid malpractice insurance and travel/housing stipends, and provides 24-hour access to a Weatherby Healthcare consultant.
Required Qualifications
- Mon - Fri 8 am - 5 pm clinic; weeknight call 5 pm - 7 am
- 24-hour weekend call Sat/Sun; call rotation is 1:3
- 15 - 25 avg daily census in clinic; 0 - 1 avg daily census in hospital
- Call rotation shared with 2 family practice physicians
- Sick & well visits, newborn rounding, level 1 nursery
- Circs preferred; must be comfortable stabilizing for transport
- Attends C-sections & high-risk deliveries at OB request
- Locums to perm opportunity -- 3-month locums period
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
