Job Summary
Provide patient care utilizing the Mercy Nursing Professional Practice Model and nursing process while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate patient care with other departments, ensuring patients' rights and confidentiality are upheld. Adhere to the scope of nursing preparation, Mercy Health System goals, and the State Nurse Practice Act. Perform duties consistent with the mission, values, and Service Standards of Mercy. Maintain a current RN license and BLS certification. Requires one year of acute care nursing experience, preferably within the last six months, and the ability to lift 50 pounds, stand, and walk for prolonged periods. Work days from 0700 to 1930 for 12 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Part-Time status (12 hours/week)
- Days shift (0700-1930)
- Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

- Six months of this experience within the last year
