Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of the maintenance department, supervising staff, scheduling tasks, and managing inventory for HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and IT infrastructure. Develop preventive maintenance programs to reduce downtime, coordinate with external vendors for specialized services, and lead renovation or repair projects within the facility. Ensure compliance with state, federal, and local regulations by conducting regular safety inspections, maintaining documentation, and responding promptly to emergency issues. Manage the maintenance department budget, track expenditures, and prioritize projects that enhance operational efficiency and resident safety.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3-5 years of maintenance experience
- At least 1-2 years in a supervisory role
- Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and general building maintenance
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical manuals
- Familiarity with OSHA, state, and federal regulations related to healthcare facility maintenance and safety
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage a team
- Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and develop effective solutions quickly
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
Desired Qualifications
